digital-x-rays

Less Time in Our Treatment Chair

Kids love digital x-rays because they make the whole process of dental treatment smooth and easy.  They capture multiple images at once, and then display them instantly.  Digital x-rays are faster, and offer better image quality than traditional.  In addition,  they are also safer and better for the environment.  Moreover, digital x-rays can be enlarged, transposed, and highlighted. Dentists can better show kids what is going on inside their mouths because of this!

Digital X-Rays Expose Your Child to Less Radiation

Digital x-rays expose recipients to 80 percent less radiation than traditional x-rays. Also, they are safer for the environment than traditional x-rays . Why? Because they rely on digital computer uploads for viewing instead of chemical development. Less chemicals produced means less chemicals in our planet!

Improved Image Quality Aid in Accuracy

Accuracy is one of the most important parts of dental services. Digital oral x-rays are taken using a small sensor. The sensor records the image of your teeth and transmits it to our computer.  As a result, the computer is able to broadcast a highly-detailed image of your mouth, teeth and tissues.

After that, this digital image can be enhanced, enlarged, sharpened, colorized, or displayed as a negative.  The dentist can more accurately diagnose dental conditions with these image features.  These high-tech features are impossible with conventional film x-rays.

Review Your Dental Treatment Progress with Superimposed Images

Digital radiographs are easily stored and can be called up for review with a simple touch of a button.  Furthermore,  x-rays are a great reference tool for your dental team so they can gauge your progress during treatment. Digital images can be superimposed with images taken prior in our office to visually compare the progress/changes during your treatment.  As a result, our team can better monitor tooth movement, bone loss or growth, bite changes and decay.  Most importantly, digital x-rays involve parents and children more in the treatment and support what we do for you.
