Your child deserves the specialized attention provided by a children’s dentist. Children’s dentists provide dental care for kids from infancy all the way to the teenage years. The following five reasons will support your decision to choose Dr. Cat: 1) Dr. Cat is trained to treat developing teeth and gums; 2) her experience working with children means she understands how to design treatment for their unique needs; 3) she can help break bad habits like thumbsucking before it becomes problematic; 4) her office employs tools for little mouths; and 5) she knows how to keep your child feeling calm and safe.
Children’s dentists, like Dr. Cat Botero, are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. Dr. Cat has the experience and qualifications needed to care for your child’s teeth, gums, and mouth through the different stages of childhood they will pass. Children start to get their baby teeth during the first six months of life.
Dr. Cat has over eight years of experience working specifically with children and addressing their dental needs. Dr. Cat can offer you the expert advice you need to properly care for your child’s teeth. She is adept at recognizing conditions that require attention. She can select materials and methods suited for the specific age of each young patient. Her style, approach, and expertise working with children offers you more than what you would find at a general dental practice.
Infants soothe themselves by thumbsucking. They will typically stop the habit on their own without any intervention from a dental professional. However, if your child is still thumbsucking or using a pacifier past the age of three, you may need a habit device or other tips from Dr. Cat.
The reason for not letting the thumbsucking continue is because it can cause the teeth to shift or lead to speech impediments and orthodontic issues.
Dr. Cat has experience helping advise parents of children with a thumbsucking habit so that you can find effective options.
Kids love our advanced technology because they make the whole process of dental treatment smooth and easy. One such tool is digital x-rays. They capture multiple images at once, and then display them instantly. Digital x-rays are faster, and offer better image quality than traditional. In addition, they are also safer and better for the environment. Moreover, digital x-rays can be enlarged, transposed, and highlighted. Dr. Cat can better show kids what is going on inside their mouths because of this!
Dr. Cat has hands-on experience that prepares her to meet the needs of infants, children and adolescents, including persons with special health care needs.
